Velocemoto started back in 2001 when Harry bought a pencilcam with the thought of capturing some of our riding on film. Those early days consisted of taping the camera to the tank and hoping for the best. The editing and creative side of filming got the better of us, and we were hooked. We started knocking together short riding movies, putting it to music and posting it on the net. We started a website, and came up with the name, "Velocemoto", which roughly translates to "fast motorcycle" from Italian to English. We were on our way. Feedback from our small online movies was encouraging, so by 2003 it was decided we'd try to release our first DVD. Velocemoto 1 was purely MV Agusta, catering to a small yet fanatical cliental. Sales were modest but we were ecstatic that like minded sportsbike enthusiasts actually liked what we were doing. By 2004 we were working on a theme, whereby we wanted to film all types of Italian sportbikes. As well as Harry and myself, our good friend Chuck became a permanent part of the Velocemoto cast. Our second DVD was released in 2004 and it was a big hit. Ducatis and MV Agustas filled the screen and our support base was growing. Our professionalism had taken a huge leap forward and our editing and production values were getting closer to our ultimate vision. In 2005 we set ourselves a new challenge. To create a proper full length movie; the birth of Episode III. It was to be our ultimate artistic statement of Italian sportbikes on film, which became our signature phrase. Episode III went on sale in December 2005 and demand is overwhelming. In 2006 we look to better ourselves once more and bring you Episode IV. Velocemoto is Harry Atkinson: Co-founder and videographer extraordinaire. Pete Hughes: Co-founder, artistic mind and editing machine. Charles Branciforte: Our star of the screen and wheelie addict.
